They’re apparently quite dangerous and rather a problem here, but I’ll never not find baboons funny.

The penguins, on the other hand, were lovely through-and-through.

I tried on everything anybody suggested. We’d go to a costume house and have huge, exhausting sessions of getting dressed up. It’s fine for about 15 minutes, but by the time we’ve done 3½ hours, it’s like, get me out of this. The most ridiculous outfit, the one I loved, I looked like Count Arthur Strong with a real, old cardigan.

Dara O’Briain calling over guests and having to pile them up on that sofa has been brilliant. Especially because now Prof Brian Cox and (a rather drunk sounding) Steve Coogan have been summoned together.

Such a shame nobody uploaded any bits of this commentary on YouTube (or at least I can’t find anything).

I’m away for a bit, but I did record this and if nothing has turned up by the time I get back then I’ll figure out how to upload a copy!

Monty Python Live (Mostly) - live show vs. TV broadcast etc.

Here’s what I wrote just after seeing the live show on the Wednesday of the last week: LINK.
It’s a bit vague because obviously this was before the TV/cinema broadcasts so I didn’t want to include any major spoilers.

And here’s what I wrote after seeing the TV broadcast too: LINK.
This is a bit less structured; it’s essentially a few odds and ends of my thoughts on the live show and television experiences.
